The TP-Link Deco X50-PoE is a strong AX3000 mesh system that supports Power over Ethernet for flexible mounting. If you are looking for tp link ax3000 poe mesh wifi alternatives, you might want a different form factor or brand. This list covers seven options that share key specifications like Wi-Fi 6 speeds and dual-band connectivity. Some users prefer standard plug-in units over PoE access points. Others need higher device capacity or specific port configurations. The products here were chosen because their specs overlap with the original Deco X50-PoE. This ensures you get comparable performance without the PoE requirement. You can find systems that fit your home’s layout better. Some offer larger coverage areas or more wired ports. This guide helps you compare these practical choices. Each alternative addresses a specific need that the original system might not fully satisfy. You will find options for large homes, offices, or spaces with existing wiring. The selection focuses on reliable connectivity and clear specifications.
Our top pick: TP-Link Deco PoE WiFi 6 3-Pack.
How each alternative compares
TP-Link Deco X55 3-Pack Wi-Fi 6
The TP-Link Deco X55 3-Pack shares the AX3000 rating and Wi-Fi 6 standard with the original, but it lacks PoE support. You must use standard power plugs for each unit. This model offers broader coverage potential for large homes with many wired devices. It gives up the flexible ceiling or wall mounting options of the X50-PoE. You gain a more traditional plug-in setup that is easier to install without network switches. Choose this if you do not need PoE wiring but want strong AX3000 coverage for a busy household.
Amazon eero PoE 6 Dual-Band Access Point
The eero PoE 6 is a single dual-band access point, not a multi-pack mesh system. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and requires PoE infrastructure for power. This unit is designed for homes that already have PoE wiring in place. It offers clean ceiling mounting but does not provide a complete mesh solution on its own. You must buy multiple units to cover a whole home. It gives up the integrated mesh routing features of the Deco system. Pick this option if you have existing PoE cabling and prefer a specialized access point approach over a full router system.
Sootozy Deco Mesh Wall Mount 3-Pack
The Sootozy Deco Mesh Wall Mount 3-Pack is not a WiFi system. It is a physical mounting solution for TP-Link Deco routers. This product helps you mount existing AX3000 routers on walls for better placement. It does not provide any wireless signals or network connectivity. You must already own compatible Deco units to use these mounts. It gives up the all-in-one nature of the X50-PoE system. Choose this if you already have Deco routers and want to improve their placement for better heat dissipation and cable management without buying new hardware.
Tenda Nova AX3000 3-Pack Mesh System
The Tenda Nova MX12 3-Pack offers AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 speeds with a high device capacity for over 160 devices. It supports dual-band connectivity for large homes. This system does not include PoE support, requiring standard power outlets for each node. It provides wide coverage for busy households but lacks the dedicated backhaul options of some competitors. You gain high connection counts for many smart home devices. Pick this if you prioritize connecting a vast number of devices over PoE mounting flexibility or multi-gigabit wired backhaul speeds.
TP-Link Deco X60 3-Pack Wi-Fi 6 System
The TP-Link Deco X60 3-Pack delivers AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 coverage for homes up to 7,000 square feet. It uses standard plug-in nodes rather than PoE-powered units. This system eliminates the need for PoE switches or specialized wiring. You get reliable mesh coverage without the mounting complexity of the X50-PoE. It gives up the ability to mount units on ceilings or walls via Ethernet power. Choose this alternative if you need strong AX3000 coverage for a large home but prefer the simplicity of plugging routers directly into wall outlets.
WAVLINK AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System 3-Pack
The WAVLINK AX3000 3-Pack Mesh WiFi 6 system offers high device capacity and wired backhaul options for large spaces. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and AX3000 speeds. This system does not include PoE support, requiring standard power for each node. It is suitable for offices or large homes where PoE is not required. You gain robust coverage for big areas without the specific mounting features of the Deco X50-PoE. Pick this if you need a strong mesh system with wired backhaul capabilities but do not require Power over Ethernet for node installation.
